Udupi, Oct 18: Based on credible information the Vishwanath CPI, Udupi Circle along with Renukaradhya PSI Manipal and the staff arrested five persons involved in flesh trade. The team raided the house on the IX cross in Manipal.
The police have arrested Khalid, Sachin, Riya, Shivani, Ayisha Banu, Teena Halvar and Namita who were involved in immoral trafficking. Aboobakkar another accused escaped from the spot.
In this connection a case has been registered Manipal police station under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act and case is under investigation.
Two mobile sets, a car bearing registration No MH 02 K 6475 and a cash of Rs 1,000 were seized from the arrested.
