Mangalore, Oct 17: Mohammad Rafiq (27), a resident of Polali who was knocked down by a speeding jeep near Polali Temple Arch, succumbed to the injuries in the early hours of Tuesday October 17.

Mohammad Rafiq owned a canteen in the city.  On Monday night, he was going home riding his mobike when a jeep rammed into his two-wheeler.  It was late in the night.  Mohammad who sustained critical injuries was immediately admitted to a private hospital in the city.  However, he succumbed to the injuries later in the hospital.

A complaint has been filed in the Bajpe police station in this regard.
