Mangalore, Oct 17: K Anantaram Bangady is already well-known for his contribution to communal harmony by creating Harikathas and Yakshaganas based on Christian themes.
His latest hour-long Harikatha called “Bhagwan Yesu Katha Kalakshepa” was presented recently in Mudipu’s Blessed Joseph Vaz church. It was based on the episodes of Jesus Christ’s life. It was directed by parish priest Fr Andrew D’Souza.
While Bangady was the Haridas, Chandrashekhar Acharya on tabla and A V Jose on harmonium provided him with accompaniment.
About seven such programmes have been presented at different venues so far, under the direction of Fr Andrew.
