Song of violence-free scenario for girl child unveiled

New Delhi, Oct 10 (IANS): The United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) Friday unveiled a song presenting a violence-free scenario for girls on the eve of the international day of the girl child.

"Baap Wali Baat" is an anthem of their "End Violence" campaign which talks to men of different age groups and invites them to follow a role model and do everything possible to ensure their daughters get education, said a statement.

The song has been sung by Kabul Rishi, who has used his classical training and fusion inspirations to deliver this strong yet subtle message of giving a girl child a violence-free environment.

The international day of the girl child is celebrated Oct 11.
