Bangalore, Oct 16: The dept of management studies of the Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering conducted a workshop on ‘Emerging marketing opportunities’ here on Saturday.

The workshop comprised three technical sessions. Brand Guru Harish Bijoor, CEO, Harish Bijoor Consults, in his key note address on ‘India emerging - Marketing opportunities everywhere said, “About 54 per cent of the population are below the age of 25 years. The recent economic survey points out that India will be the world’s largest economy after 2050,” he said.

India is divided into real India and virtual India. Real India is the rural India and virtual India is the urban India. The politics of our country is controlled by the real India, whereas commerce is controlled by the virtual India.

The boom in the stock market, reality sector and the younger generation have surged our nation to the top, to make it a flourishing economy, he added.

The chairman of Dayananda Sagar Institutions Dr Hemachandra Sagar reiterated that apart from economic development, the will and determination to live in peace was very important because of the changed lifestyle and attitude, along with an increased purchasing power.
