Mangalore, Oct 15: The Karnataka NRI Forum, UAE, has urged the Air India Express Limited to connect Mangalore with other cities in West Asia, in addition to its Dubai-Mangalore flight service, which was introduced recently.

In a letter to V Thulasidas, chairman and managing director, Air India Express Limited, convenor of the forum Rajesh Sequeira said the airline fulfilled the dream of many NRIs by introducing a tri-weekly flight service between Mangalore and Dubai recently.

He said the airline could explore the traffic potential in other parts of West Asia. Flights could be introduced mainly in five other routes connecting West Asia with Mangalore such as Abu Dhabi- Muscat-Mangalore, Dammam-Mangalore, Kuwait-Mangalore, Bahrain-Mangalore and Doha Qatar-Mangalore

The Dubai-Mangalore service could be converted from tri-weekly service to five times a week, he added.
