New Delhi, Oct 13: Police on Thursday arrested the priest of a temple in Mukherjee Nagar area of northwest Delhi for allegedly raping a 40-year-old woman.
Pravesh (28) allegedly lured the woman to his room and raped her on the temple premises at Nirankari Colony's Gauri Shankar temple.
The priest was later arrested in the evening after a case was registered. The woman, who hailed from Balia (UP), had taken shelter in the temple for the last 20 days.
Police said the woman had been sent for medical examination and the investigation was on.
