Kundapur, Oct 11: Bona D'Souza (55), a resident of Koteshwar who was injured critically in a road accident on Saturday October 7, succumbed to injuries in the hospital on Monday October 9 night.  His funeral was later held on Tuesday October 10 at St Pius X Church at Piusnagar near here.

Bona D'Souza fondly known as "Bonnab" was a tailor by profession and hailed from T T Road here.  He owned a tailoring shop at Koteshwar, and hence was living in a house at Koteshwar.

On Saturday he was walking by the roadside when he was knocked down by a speeding tempo at Ankadakatte near Koteshwar here.  As a result he sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a private hospital here.  However, owing to excessive blood loss and critical injuries, he died in the hospital on Monday evening.

His body was later taken to ancestoral house at T T Road here and his final rites were held at Piusnagar Church.
