Chennai, Oct 1 (IANS): Two-wheeler maker Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India sales zoomed 33 percent last month as compared to the corresponding period of Sep 2013, the company said.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the company said it closed last month with 438,521 units, up from 328,907 units sold in Sep 2013.
For the first time in the company's history, monthly sales have crossed 400,000 units.
"We have recorded our highest ever sales of 4.38 lacs this month. From Gujarat to Kolkata, we are witnessing overwhelming customer response this Navratras and expect the cheer to continue in Oct 201 as well," Yadvinder S. Guleria, vice president-sales and marketing was quoted in the statement.
