Ford India's sales dip in September


Chennai, Oct 1 (IANS): Passenger car manufacturer Ford India experienced a dip in its September sales as compared to the corresponding period of 2013, the company said Wednesday.

In a statement, Ford India said it sold 13,742 vehicles last month, down from 14,217 units sold in September 2013.

Exports last month grew to 6,956 vehicles from 3,577 vehicles a year ago, while domestic wholesales stood at 6,786 units compared with 10,640 units sold in the same month last year.

According to Anurag Mehrotra, executive director, marketing, sales and service, the company has reopened bookings for its sports utility vehicle EcoSport as the supplies have improved.
