Lucknow, Oct 10: The Special CBI Court on Monday allowed the CBI to interrogate incarcerated international mafia don Abu Salem and take his signature sample in a fake passport case.

The central agency had submitted an application in the court of Special judge (CBI) Mahendra Singh seeking permission to quiz Salem in a fake passport case, besides taking his signature sample.

The judge observed the CBI also take permission from the Special TADA Court in this regard.

After his extradition from Portugal alongwith his companion, Bollywood starlet Monika Bedi, Salem is presently lodged in Mumbai jail in connection with the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case.

Salem is accused of getting a fake passport issued in Lucknow.
