Tata Motors appoints new passenger vehicle head


Mumbai, Sep 29 (IANS): Automobile major Tata Motors Monday appointed Maruti Suzuki's former chief operating officer Mayank Pareek as president of its passenger vehicle business unit (PVBU).

According to the company, Pareek will take up his new assignment Oct 1, 2014, and will succeed Ranjit Yadav, who will now head the international business for passenger and commercial vehicles.

"As the president, PVBU, Pareek would be responsible for steering the passenger vehicle business. He will also be a member of the corporate steering committee," the company was quoted in a statement.
