Mangalore, Sep 24: Union Minister for Information, Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs Priyaranjan Dashmunsi has announced that the Government will soon have a full-fledged Doordarshan camera facility in Mangalore.

Speaking after inaugurating the Mangalore Dasara at Kudroli Gokarnanatha Kshetra here on Saturday, Mr. Dashmunsi said Mangalore had all the facilities that warranted Doordarshan to have a full presence here.

The city and district were poised for growth in almost all sectors, Dashmunsi said. It was necessary for Mangalore to have a vehicle of information with a Doordarshan camera team equipped with lease line facility for uploading.

These facilities would be in place by the end of this year, he added.
