Mangalore, Sep 23: It is now quite evident that every political leader and party is playing with the emotions of public.  A couple of days ago it was the turn of Congress to lead protest against the bad state of roads in the district.  On Saturday September 23, it was upto BJP to prove that they too do not lack far behind in trying to catch fish in troubled waters.

BJP Suratkal unit held National Highway bundh on Saturday.  Though the intention was right, motive was never.  Any vehicles did not ply on the highway between Suratkal and city during the entire day.  Not a single express, local or service bus did ply from Udupi to the city.

This meant that the students, the workers, daily commuters had terrible day.  Most of the people suffered a lot owing to the sudden bundh call.  It was bizarre to see that BJP activists even stopped vehicles which were on urgent duty.  Even the private vehicles including four and two-wheelers were not allowed to run on the road.

Being weekend, students, workers studying or working in the city who go to their native once in a week, found it difficult.
