Kashmir relief: AAP MLAs to donate Rs.20 lakh each

New Delhi, Sep 12 (IANS): All the AAP legislators will donate Rs.20 lakh each from their MLA funds for relief work in Jammu and Kashmir following the devastating floods, party chief Arvind Kejriwal said Friday.

"All AAP MLAs to donate Rs.20 lakh each for Kashmir flood relief from their MLA funds," Kejriwal said in a tweet.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia said all the party MLAs have decided to collectively donate Rs.5.5 crore for Kashmir flood relief.

"AAP units from across the country are already sending relief material by coordinating with various NGOs," Sisodia tweeted.

The state has been battling the worst floods in 60 years, which have left over 200 people dead. About four lakh people are still estimated to be marooned in Srinagar.

The AAP has 27 MLAs in Delhi.

First off, so nice to see few AAPTARD KLPD (Kejriwal lok pal dal) supporters here! This Kejri has done Khalifagiri by giving away money meant for delhi people! He is the same CM who ruled for 49 days, and did not vacate offical bungalow for more than 6 months!!

He is the one who said, "dissolve assembly" ..but not ready to give up his salary, and he and his MLAs want salary, perks etc without doing any work for more than 9 months! thats the reason I feel, his MLAs would want to support next BJP govt! most of them dont want reelection or not sure of winning/getting ticket again!

this political stunt, is just to win minoirty vote, cos the money meant for all Delhi people, he wants to spend on Kashmiris who are pelting stone on Army.. he is the one, from a party which idolises the seperatists, want AFSPA to be revoked, army to retun back and give freedom to kashmiris!

he knows he cant donate from MLA fund for all such acts! he never used his own money.. he said, he will do away with MLA funds and wants to give directly the amount to Mohalla commiittee! Sab natak hai.. Use your AAP party fund instead! and if he thinks, he can wash away his sin from doing all this then he is wrong! Yes, I too want humanitarian acts to continue in Kashmir,.. but it shld be from your pocket!

I donated to PM relief fund, cos, now I trust my PM to spend it on good cause and also got 80G income tax rebate for the same amount too.. why not do this? specially when you are getting salaries and doing just sting ans wasting assembly time, after running away from governance!

Contribution to any relief operation is welcome.
However, it will be more appreciated if money is from ones own pocket.
Its the money from Delhi/India/Tax-Payers, not a big deal Aravindjee.
I am not sure, whether these Delhi MLAs belonging to all Political Parties, with out job ( No democratically elected Government -LG Rule) continue to get Hefty Salary, Perks and Bungalows ?
If So, all of these elected MLAs belonging to various party should donate to relief fund , all these months free Salary after election, which they Pocketed, with-out doing anything, except mud-slinging.
Instead, MLAs should have gone to their constituency, mobilised the resource and donated to relief operation.
Otherwise it looks like a political Stunt.

Modi as a person gave from his salary. It is official.
Modi as a PM (who takes care of J&K also) did his duty as PM by providing fund.

Who is this Kejri giving Delhi people's money to J&K just to take credit and "Bhesh Bhesh" from PSEUDOS...

By the way, you guys never did any "Bhesh Bhesh" for Modi, when he released money RIGHTfully.
But jumped to say "Bhesh Bhesh" to Kejri, when he did it WRONGfully..
