Journalist Udit Sahu is dead


Agra, Sep 12 (IANS): Journalist and poet Udit Sahu died Thursday night, sources said Friday. He was 80.

A leftist thinker and author of several books, Sahu retired from the Bareilly Amar Ujala in 1994 and took to teaching at the Kanhaiya Lal Manik Lal Munshi Hindi Institute of Agra University.

Institute's registrar Chandra Kant Tripathi said: "Udit Sahu was known for his crisp editing and linguistic skills. He taught several generations of Hindi journalists."
