Mangalore, Sep 21: All the accused in the DCC Bank, Katipalla branch theft who were convicted by the court have been handed over 5 years of imprisonment by First Additional CJM Court.

Shripati Acharya, Vithal Shetty, N H Yousuf and Laxman have been penalized by the court for stealing Rs 2 crore worth ornaments and Rs 5.94 lac in cash on November 10, 2002. They have also been fined Rs 7,000 each.  Laxman, who was the staff of DCC Bank Katipalla, has been handed over additional fine of Rs 1,000 and an extra year of rigorous imprisonment.

The accused were arrested on November 29 and all the stolen valuables were recovered from them.
