Mangalore, Sep 21: Around 11,000 Datta Maladharis and 25,000 Rama Sainiks will participate in the pooja at Dattapeeta on October 5 and thus the government must facilitate smooth functioning of the event, demanded Rashtriya Hindu Sena State Secretary Ravishankar Koppa. Speaking to press persons on Wednesday here, he said that no hindrances must prevent the yatra and the Hindus must not be affected in anyway.

If the Shobhayatra is not allowed to reach Dattapeeta, then the MLAs and ministers who have been elected in the name of Hindutva must resign, Koppa demanded.

He also demanded for the roads to be repaired, warning of the repeat ion of the Ayodhya episode if the Hindus are not permitted to perform pooja.

On October 4, around 2,000 activists will leave Mangalore. The procession will begin from Dongerkeri temple and pass through Bunts Hostel, Hampankatte, RTO circle and reach Dongerkeri.
