Mangalore, Sep 20: Expresses buses plying between the city and Udupi, Karkala and other areas, city buses went off the road on Wednesday September 20 morning extending their support to protest staged against the bad state of roads.

The protest march began at Kottara Chowki with District Labour Commission president Ivan D'Souza leading the protest.  Members of various local organizations, associations and people from all walks of life joined the protest march.

The protestors went to Mulki by walk in a procession.   Protest meets were organized in Kulur, Panambur and Kulai areas and leaders criticized the concerned officials and the administration for turning a deaf ear to people's plea.

Though some buses started plying in the early hours, they too went off the road after 7.30 am.  This made life difficult to students who are attending their semester exams and the people who go to offices.   However, the people peeved by the pathetic condition of the road, wholeheartedly supported bundh.
