Mangalore, Sep 15: Janmashtami celebrations have never been so colourful before. As part of the celbrations, Kalkura Foundation organised Krishna Vesha competitions for children at the Manjunatha Temple at Kadri here on Thursday September 14.
The competitions, inaugurated by Pejaver Math seer Vishwesha Teertha, were held under 7 categories, for children and women of all ages.
While in some of the places like Kulshekar pot-breaking celebrations were held on Thursday September 14 night with pomp, some important and well-known celebrations are scheduled for Friday.
On Friday September 15, Janmashtami will be celebrated with the traditional pot-breaking ceremonies at Attavar, Urva and Kadri here.
