Rain makes Tuesday pleasant in Delhi, more expected Wednesday


New Delhi, Sep 2 (IANS): A spell of light rain in the capital led to a pleasant Tuesday, with the maximum temperature recorded at 34.3 degrees Celsius, average for the season. The Met department has forecast more rain Wednesday.

"Wednesday will also be cloudy and more rain with thunderstorms is expected in Delhi. The maximum and the minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 31 degrees and 25 degrees Celsius," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Delhi received 2.2 mm rainfall till 5.30 p.m Tuesday.

The minimum temperature of the day settled at 26.3 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.

Monday's maximum temperature was recorded at 35.3 degrees Celsius, slightly above the season's average, while the minimum settled at 24.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below average.
