Left parties take out anti-imperialism rally in Kolkata

Kolkata, Sep 1 (IANS): Fifteen left parties Monday brought out a huge anti-imperialism rally here attacking the US for its "conspiracies" against India as also its bid to spread its hegemony across the globe.

The rally, that saw the participation of all partners OF West Bengal's main opposition Left Front and other parties like the CPI-ML and the SUCI-C, raised slogan for world peace and denounced war.

Starting from Ramleela Park in central Kolkata, the rallyists walked up to Deshbandhu Park uring the people to come together against US interference in India and seek answers from the NDA government why it was caving in to US pressure to embrace FDI across crucial sectors.

It was on this day that the Second World War started with Germany's lighting attack on Poland.
