Udupi, Sep 11: To tackle the problem of electricity in the SC and ST colony of Bangle Gudde in Aroor Kurudunje village of Kunjal Panchayat here, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will implement the Green Light Project in this colony.
According to a press release, MAHE will introduce the project through its Manipal Institute of Technology in association with Kunjal Panchayat and Selco Solar Light Private Limited.
There are about 10 to 12 houses in the colony which are devoid of electricity and who work as labourers, the press release stated. Under this project, solar lighting systems will be provided in these houses.
The project will be inaugurated at Kunjal Panchayat on Wednesday September 13 at 3 pm.
