Kabul, Aug 30 (IANS): At least eight people were killed and 41 injured Saturday in a suicide attack at the office of National Directorate for Security (NDS) in Afganistan's provincial capital Jalalabad.
"Six terrorists attacked the NDS office at 5.00 a.m. which triggered a firece gun battle," Xinhua quoted an official as saying.
"One of the terrorists detonated his explosive-laden vehicle next to the wall of the NDS compound, enabling the other terrorists to enter the compound," the official said.
The gun fight continued till 9.00 a.m., the official added.
According to health officials, the eight victims comprised six militants and two NDS personnel.
