Mangalore, Sep 11: Former prime minister and JD (S) Supremo Deve Gowda on Sunday rated high the governance of the Karnataka Development Front (KDF) in the State. Speaking to press persons he said that the very fact that there have not been major communal flare-ups in the state and harmony prevails is a strong indicator of the well-functioning government.

 

Speaking about the Datta Peetha issue, Gowda was of the opinion that it Dharm Singh Governments policy was ideal to solve it. He said that the present government will follow that which the previous government had done.

In order to strengthen the party, Gowda will hold district-level conventions after the completion of his tour of the districts.

Former minister K Amarnat Shetty, MLC Y S V Datta and JD (S) Vasant Bangere were present on the occasion.
