Kinnigoly, Sep 9: Catholic Sabha - Kinnigoli unit organized Teachers' Day here in the Church hall.

Kinnigoly parish priest Fr Patrick Rodrigues presided over the programe. Dr Clarence John Miranda, principal of Sacred Heart College, Madyantyar and Fr Valerian Mendonca, principal of Pompeii College, Aikala were the chief guests.

In his speech, resource person Dr Clarence J Miranda said teaching profession is the noblest profession, whereby people in the dark were being brought into light. While giving attention to the students' minds, attention should be given to their hearts too, said he. Also he congratulated the all the teachers on this day.
 
Valerian R.Sequeira, retired headmaster, Pejawar High School, Kalavaru, and vvice president of Kinnigoly Church, was honoured by Catholic Sabha, Kinnigoli Unit.

Robert Fernandes, president of Catholic Sabha, welcomed the guests and teachers. Ivy Aranha, secretary of Catholic Sabha, gave a vote of thanks. Eric Pais compered the programe.
