Another hot day in Delhi, no relief expected Thursday


New Delhi, Aug 27 (IANS): The national capital saw yet another hot and sunny day Wednesday, as the maximum temperature settled five notches above average at 38.2 degrees Celsius. There will be no rain Thursday too, the Met Office said.

"Tomorrow (Thursday) will be partly cloudy and some parts of the city may experience dust storms but no rainfall is expected," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

Thursday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 38 and 27 degrees Celsius, the official said.

Wednesday's minimum temperature was recorded at 27.5 degrees, a notch above the season's average.

The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 64 percent.

Tuesday was hot too, as the maximum temperature settled at 39.4 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average, while the minimum was 29 degrees Celsius, three notches above average.
