Bagdhad, Aug 27 (Agencies) : Arif Majeed, one of the four boys from Kalyan in Maharashtra who allegedly joined the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), is reported to have died. Reports said Arif's family reportedly got a call informing them of his death in Mosul.

Arif and his three friends - Aman Tandel, Fahad Shaikh and Saleem Tanki - had left their homes around May 23, saying they were going to "fight for Allah". Following the discovery of a letter, the families had lodged a missing person's complaint. They had also met Home Minister Rajnath Singh seeking the government's help in getting the boys back home safe.

A day after reaching Iraq, one of the boys had even called up his family and apologised for not informing them of their decision.

Indian security agencies, in touch with their Iraqi counterparts, have claimed that they have details of the youths' journey from Baghdad, where they landed in Iraq, to Mosul. But there has been no information about their whereabouts after that.
