New Delhi, Aug 15 (IANS): It was a humid Independence Day in Delhi Friday. The Met department has forecast light rain Saturday.
The maximum temperature was recorded two notches above the season's average at 35.2 degrees Celsius.
Humidity rose to 71 percent.
The minimum temperature was one notch above average at 27.6 degrees Celsius.
"The sky Saturday will be partly cloudy and light rain is expected," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
Saturday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35 and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.
