Jharkhand governor faints at I-Day venue


Ranchi, Aug 15 (IANS): Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed Friday fainted while delivering his Independence Day speech at Dumka, the state's second capital.

Ahmad was taken from the venue to the Sadar hospital. He was discharged after a while.

A doctor said the governor was being treated for vertigo and had forgotten to take his medicines. Ahmed's speech was completed by Santhal Pargana Commissioner Ehteshamul Haque.
