Liberia receives experimental Ebola drug

Monrovia, Aug 14 (IANS): Sample doses of the experimental Ebola virus disease drug Z-MAPP have been delivered to the Liberian government, media reported Thursday.

The drug was released by the US manufacturer after it was approved by the US drug administration, Xinhua reported citing a Liberian radio station.

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf said in a recent speech in Monrovia that the drug would contribute immensely in turning Ebola around and help restore hope to a distressed populace.
