Hot, sunny day in Delhi; rain likely Thursday


New Delhi, Aug 13 (IANS): The national capital experienced yet another hot and sunny day Wednesday as the maximum temperature settled three notches above the season's average at 36.2 degrees Celsius. Light rain is expected Thursday, the Met office said.

"Thursday will see partly cloudy skies and very light rain may occur in some parts of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35 and 26 degrees Celsius.

Wednesday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature settled at 27 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.

The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 77 percent.

Tuesday's maximum temperature was 36.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, while the minimum was 27.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above average.
