Pakistan dubs Modi's remarks on terrorism as 'baseless rhetoric'

Islamabad, Aug 13 (PTI): A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused it of indulging in a proxy war against India, Pakistan today hit back by dubbing it as "baseless rhetoric" and said both countries should focus on resolving issues instead of engaging in blame game.

"The press reports of Indian accusations, at the highest political level, are most unfortunate, especially as the leadership of Pakistan wishes to establish good neighbourly relations with India," Pakistan Foreign Office Spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam said.

"Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's visit to India in May was in this spirit and generated a fresh momentum in the bilateral relationship," she said in a statement.

Prime Minister Modi, in his address to the Army and Air Force troops on his maiden trip to Leh yesterday, had said, "It is unfortunate that our neighbour's attitude...they have lost the power to fight a war but they use proxy war. There has been a process of killing innocent people through this proxy war."

Commenting on Prime Minister Modi's address, the Foreign Office termed the remarks as "baseless rhetoric".

"With reference to news reports attributed to Prime Minister Modi repeating the baseless rhetoric against Pakistan regarding terrorism, the Spokesperson (Tasnim Khan) recalled that Pakistan has consistently condemned terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations," the Foreign Office statement said.

"She pointed out that having lost the lives of 55,000 of its citizens as a result of terrorism; Pakistan is the biggest victim of the menace," it said.

"Our Armed Forces remain ready to defend the country's borders and thwart any threat of aggression," the Spokeswoman said.

"It would be in the larger interest of the regional peace that instead of engaging in a blame game, the two countries should focus on resolving all issues through dialogue and work together to promote friendly and cooperative relations," she said.

Final result: Feku talked, Pak replied, the end result: Pakistan screwed up killing 4 soldiers and Modi is hiding his head into send, Great going 56 inch CHESTED MODI.

All of us should not want Pakistan be involved in a war with us. Pakistan is dying itself from within.
Why do we require a perpetual headache if we have to control them.
Read memoirs of the Personal Secretary of Rajiv Gandhi, which says..
"When Zia Ul Haq ( President of Paksitan in 1980s ) came for a cricket match on an unofficial visit to India, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi didnt meet or welcome him. However during an informal talk with Rajiv Gandhi, Zia Ul Haq did warn Rajiv Gandhi, saying.. may be India wants a war with Pakistan. But I doubt so, because if that happens, it will be nuclear one.. when both sides will vanish. Of course all muslims in Pakistan will die but it will wipe out all Hindus from India.
That was really a blunt expression by Zia Ul Haq then, who had prepared nuclear technology but was not tested until 1998.

    What a difference...
Current Govt-Instead of doing proxy war fight a war(Open challenge)and pak is saying now should resolve the issue through dailouge.
Previous Govt-Sending love letter to pak and calling them to resolve the issue by talk then keeping mouth shut even after beheading the armies..
    This is called changes...........

Pakis are testing Modi' guts. They were watching all Modi rallies pre poll, the way he used to attack them verbally, and now its Modi' turn to attack, and not pakis turn to wage a conventional war.Mr. Modi you will still be called a FEKU if not you keep the word promised in your rallies
