Hot, sunny Tuesday in Delhi, rain likely Wednesday


New Delhi, Aug 12 (IANS): The national capital experienced a hot and humid Tuesday as the maximum temperature settled three notches above average at 36.6 degrees Celsius. The Met Office has forecast light rain Wednesday.

"The skies will be partly cloudy tomorrow (Wednesday) and some parts of the city might get light rain and thundershowers," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 37 and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Tuesday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature was recorded a notch above the season's average at 27.6 degrees Celsius.

The day's maximum humidity settled at 87 percent.

The maximum temperature Monday was recorded three notches above average at 36 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled a notch below average at 25 degrees Celsius.
