Three UP school girls killed in accident


Lucknow, Aug 6 (IANS): Three school girls were killed and 20 others injured when a tanker rammed into their school bus in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh Wednesday, police said.

The crash took place near the Harduna Hardaspur village when a speeding tanker rammed into a bus of Kanya Vidya Mandir. 

The three school girls - two aged six years and one 12 years old - were killed on the spot while 20 others sustained injuries and were rushed to a medical facility where the condition of three of them is stated to be serious. 

The bodies of those killed have been sent for post-mortem examination while families of the students were informed of the accident.

The driver of the tanker ran away from the site.
