Chennai, July 28: Famous Tamil actor Dhanush turns 31 today. He will be celebrating his birthday with his fans. He is basking on the success of his 25th Tamil film 'Velai Illa Pattathari,' which is running successfully at the box office.
Dhanush was born to Tamil director and producer Kasthuri Raja. He debuted in the 2002 Tamil film 'Thulluvado Ilamai' which was directed by his father. After having a grand launch, he went on to star in many successful films.
He rose to fame in 2012 when his song 'Kolaveri Di' became a rage on youtube. The song was sung by Dhanush and it became a huge hit.
Dhanush debuted in the Hindi film industry in 'Raanjhanaa' opposite Sonam Kapoor in 2013. The movie became a hit at the box office. He will be next seen in R Balki's 'Shamitabh' which also has Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.
