Bangalore, July 28: Popular director Shashank is all set to direct the sequel of 'Mungaaru Male,' which is the most popular film ever made on Kannada screen. The sequel will be produced by Gangadhar, who worked as an executive producer in the prequel.
'Mungaaru Male 2' will star Ganesh in the lead role. He will be reprising the role of Pritham from the original film. No other stars from the original will be retained except Ganesh. The movie was first offered to Yograj Bhatt to direct, but he rejected the offer due to prior commitments.
Shashank of 'Krishnan Love Story' will now direct 'Mungaaru Male.' He is presently busy directing 'Krishna Leela' which stars Ajay Rao.
'Mungaaru Male 2' is scheduled to release next year.
