Mumbai, July 27: Abhishek Bachchan wants his ‘Happy New Year’ co-star and producer Shah Rukh Khan to play the role of hockey legend Dhyan Chand in his biopic.
Dhyan Chand is remembered for his extraordinary goal scoring feats. He was also instrumental in getting three Olympics gold medal in hockey.
Abhishek said, "A sportsman whose life will be fantastic on screen is Major Dhyan Chand. It will be an unbelievable story. These are the stories that need to be told. I told Shah Rukh Khan to make a film on
it and play the protagonist, because he looks a lot like him. If you see his photo, you just need to change Khan’s hair a bit. Khan was a hockey player. I think he will be fantastic."
Abhishek will be next seen with Shah Rukh in ‘Happy New Year’, which is slated to release this Diwali.
