Missed couture fest? Buy designer creations online

New Delhi, July 25 (IANS): If you missed the opportunity to witness the haute couture at the recently concluded India Couture Week (ICW) in the capital, here's a chance to get your hands on some of the designers' creations while sitting at home.

E-commerce site Exclusively.in has introduced the luxury couture line of ace designers Manish Malhotra and Gaurav Gupta, bringing them from the runway to the e-store.

The website has picked the best pieces from the couture collections launched by designers during ICW, to preview and retail on their own and their partner websites, said a statement.

Gupta's couture 2014 collection, created for today's modern bride, is filled with ensembles with fluid drapes, sheer panels and brazen cut-outs. The colours include metallic gold, silver and electric blue.

Malhotra’s collection includes elaborate vintage motifs, delicate Kashmiri embroidery, old world mirror work and sequins all brought together in garments that exude glamour.

In keeping with the designer's signature style, the collection is crafted in velvet and silks with the colour palette ranging from soft shades of beige and gold, salmon pink to hues of rust orange and red.

The collection also has ensembles for men, which in keeping with the inspiration, included a confluence of old-world and modern elements. Structured, traditional long kurtas have details like pleats and high collars to complete the look for bridegrooms. The colour palette is dominated by beige, white, ivory and maroon, with gold detailing and intricate embroidery completing the picture.

Also, this will be the first time where customers from around the globe would be able to purchase and view these lines.
