Warrant for woman over withdrawing child from school

New Delhi, July 23 (IANS): The Delhi High Court Wednesday issued a bailable warrant against a woman after she failed to appear in court in a case filed by her ex-husband after she withdrew their child from a school.

Justice Manmohan issued the bailable warrant against the woman who was asked in May to appear before the court Wednesday.

The court posted the matter for Sep 16 while again asking the woman to appear before it.

The court was hearing a plea filed by Dharmendra Kapoor against the action of his ex-wife who withdrew their 12-year-old girl from Green Field School and for not sending her to any other school.

Kapoor said he had admitted the child in DPS Sushant Lok, Gurgaon, but his ex-wife took their daughter with her, while leaving their home after divorce.

The girl was later admitted to the Green Field School, but his ex-wife withdrew her from the school, which has led to their daughter sitting at home and not going to any school.
