Thailand firm offers to invest Rs.1,000 crore in Andhra


Hyderabad, July 9 (IANS): Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF), a leading agro-industrial and food conglomerate of Thailand, has offered to invest Rs.1,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh.

The company is looking at setting up chicken processing, fish and prawn feed units, officials said.

The offer was made when CPF vice chairman Chaiporn Montha and director Kwan Chai called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu here Wednesday.

The chicken processing unit is proposed in Chittoor district, the native district of the chief minister and fish and prawn feed units in East Godavari and West Godavari districts.
