From Sanjay Borkar in Margao for Daijiworld News Network - Goa

Margao, Aug 1: With a view to creating awareness on the Right to Information Act so that it could be used to curb corruption and to achieve transparency in the system, G R Kare College of Law in Margao will conduct a campaign on August 12.

Most of the public are unaware of the provisions of the Act and are confused about its power and scope. So during this campaign people will be educated about the provisions of the Information Act. The Law students will help people to draft applications.

The workshop will commence at 9-30 am in the campus of the college. A panel of experts will address the workshop and members of various NGOs will discuss the implementation of the Law.

Admittance is open to all.
