Goa, Jun 19: After the rasta roko carried out by the people near the Zuari Bridge on Friday 16, the Zuari Bridge is temporarily opened for all tupes of vehiocles including heavyt vehicles.

The state River Navigation Department had sent 5 ferry boats to the concerned ferry route of Agassaim and Cortalim.  But the people never opted for this route and went on their bikes, four-wheelers and also by walk.

The ferries were just kept anchored at the ferry point without being used.  By late afternoon on Friday, the highway authority had to withdraw its notification of not allowing the heavy vehicles on the Zuari Bridge for the time being and allow all types of vehilces to run on the bridge.
