Margao, Jun 12: Konkani Bhasha Mandal's (KBM) executive committee for the year 2006 to 2008 has been unanimously elected and it will be headed by president Purnanand chari.

Serafin Cotta has been elected vice President, Sanjay Talwadkar secretary, Rajendra Naik treasurer, and Marcos Gonsalves and RevanSiddh Naik Joint secretaries.

During the special meeting held to elect the committee members, the central Committee members were also selected, in which writer N Shivdas, Mahaballeshwar Sail, Nayana Adarkar, Paresh Naik, Chetan Acharya, Anthony Vaz, Vincy Quadros, Juze Salvador Fernandes and Pandarinath Parab were selected as members.

Also, Sanjay Komarpant - Canacona, Ratmala Divkar- Salcette, Santosh Kerkar - Vasco, Manoj Joshi - Panaji, Sunil Umraskar- Bardez, Rajan Shetye - Sancoale and Shaba Kurtarkar- Sattari were chosen as Taluka members.

*By unifying all the communities and the youths, we will do our best to take the Palanquin of Konkani to greater heights," said KBM president Purnanand Chari, while addressing the gathering on the occasion.
