Protest disrupts traffic in Delhi

New Delhi, March 31 (IANS): Traffic on roads connecting Noida to Delhi and in some south Delhi areas was disrupted Monday due to a protest by a minority community.

"There is a religious protest in the city so the traffic will be affected for sometime," Taj Hasan, special commissioner, Delhi Traffic Police, told IANS.

The traffic was halted during the peak morning hours on the DND flyover and roads leading to Ashram, Ring Road and Nizammuddin.

"Starting from the toll booth on DND in Noida, the long lines of cars do not seem to get over," Rati Sharma, who works in an advertising firm in south Delhi, told IANS.
