Panaji, Jun 1:Chief minister Pratapsing Rane inaugurated a new building of Ideal High School Pilgao in Bicholim taluka on Wednesday in the presence of MLA and Chairman of KTC Harish Zantye, and Chairman of Dempo Group Shrinivas Dempo.

Zantye inaugurated right wing on the first floor donated by the Dempo group of companies. Srinivas Dempo inaugurated rooms donated by the Mineral Foundation.

On this occasion the chief minister felicitated Shaikh Shacoly Umakant Shenvi Pilgaonkar and Anand Desai.
Dempo inaugurated Ideal Youth Association and trustee of Dempo Charity Trust Pallavi Dempo inaugurated the Ideal Womens Association.

The chief minister said Goa has witnessed tremendous progress in the educational field since the liberation of Goa and the administration has reached the doorsteps of the people.

Rane further said, education shapes the future of the child.  He called upon parents to take up education of their wards with all seriousness.  He also called  upon teachers and parents to be vigilant on activities of children particularly while watching channel television, or films, on computer.

Zantye called upon the students to study hard and said nobody can survive without education. Srinivas Dempo said Goa has witessed tremendous progress in the educational field.
 
He said in this new era students should be prepared to face challenges  and should pursue quality and job-oriented education.

Former MP Amrut Kasdar member of Zilla Panchayat Anand Shet, sarpanch Kalavati Parob Gaonkar, Sunayana Harnkar, Milind Pilgaonkar also spoke, headmaster Ramchandra Garde welcomed. Raghuvir Prabhugaonkar proposed vote of thanks, Arvind Sainakar compered.
