Panaji, May 30: One person is missing after a Kerala-based trawler capsized near Goa coast as a result of rough weather.

According to the information available, a 50-foot-long wooden trawler named 'Selvamatha' capsized on Monday night. Nine fishermen were thrown out of the trawler, of whom 8 managed to swim across to the shore while one person is still missing.

Coast guard have initiated search and rescue operations in the sea.
