Blast near Iranian consulate in Pakistan


Islamabad, Feb 24 (IANS): A blast hit a checkpost close to the Iranian consulate in Pakistan's Peshawar city Monday killing one security personnel, rescue workers said.

Police sources said a suspicious vehicle stopped at the security checkpost near the Iranian consul general's office, following which a blast was heard, Dawn online reported.

The blast also injured three other security personnel, said the rescue workers.
