Panaji, May 25: The Central Hospital at Usgaon, Ponda, on Wednesday became the property of Government of Goa after an Memorandum of Understanding signed between the representatives of state government and the ministry of labour.

U K Worah, Health Secretary, was the signatory on behalf of Government of Goa and S P Gupta, Dy Secretary, Ministry of Labour, represented the Centre.

The 60-bedded hospital which was earlier under the control of ministry of labour catered to health needs of mine workers and their families.
