Regret helping Kejriwal grow in stature, says Moily

New Delhi, Feb 17 (PTI): Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily, who is in the eye of the storm over gas pricing issue, today hit out at Arvind Kejriwal, saying it is "better in the best interest of the democracy to talk less" of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader.

The senior Congress leader, who was Law Minister when the Joint Committee for drafting the Lokpal Bill was constituted by the government at the peak of Anna Hazare's agitation demanding an effective anti-corruption watchdog, also regretted his decision to invite Kejriwal to the panel headed by then Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee as it helped the former civil society member "to build himself".

"Better in the best interest of the democracy, talk less of Kejriwal. It is best for everybody not to waste energy on him. India's energy should not be lost on a person like Kejriwal. That is my firm opinion.

"And I have committed some crime...by inviting him to the Joint Committee on Lokpal (Joint Committee for drafting the Lokpal Bill). It is because of that entry, he took advantage and he was trying to build himself. That is my crime. I committed a mistake. I regret inviting a person like him. He should not have been (invited)," Moily told reporters outside Parliament House.

The Minister was reacting to questions on the just resigned Kejriwal-headed Aam Aadmi Party Government's decision to file FIR against him, Reliance Industries Limited Chief Mukesh Ambani and retired Director General of Hydrocarbons V K Sibal for their alleged collusion over hike in prices of natural gas from KG basin.

When asked about BJP's opposition to the gas price hike after the Aam Aadmi Party questioned its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's silence on the issue, Moily said the main opposition party has not opposed the decision "till now".

"I have not seen it. I just hear from you...They have not till now objected," Moily said. He, however, said that BJP is now searching for new issues as it is "losing weapon" to fight against Congress party and UPA government. "They are inventing one story after another," Moily added.

Verappa Moily is most corrupt politician of the country and he is burdent to the nation. This man was MLA in Karkala and we voted him to power and today we regret for that. What he did to Karkala or entire South Kanara? Moily, please remember your initial days in Karkala. What was your worth that time and today? It is on our skeletons you have amassed huge wealth and today one of the richest man in the country? Where this money come from.

There should be a law to grill corrupt politicians and seize their entire assets and put them on the road to beg. This is the only answer to bring them to the senses. The days are not far and I hope people together will decide what best medicines suits to this corrupt BJP and Congress politicians.

Mr. Modi is still the favourite in the coming general elections in India. He has the
support of the middle classes. There is no doubt Mr. Modi has benefited from the
crisis that struck the ruling Congress party, but now a third competing power has
risen up in Mr. Kejriwal, and protesting voices will grow more splintered, making it
difficult to predict who will succeed in the upcoming elections.
The resignation of Mr. Kejriwal was seen as a strategic shift that leaves him clear to
lead his party, riding a wave of public disgust with mainstream politicians, into
battle in the general election this year.
Kejriwal, whose stunning breakthrough in the Delhi state elections in December
highlighted public anger at the political establishment , launched a blistering
assault on Prime Minister Singh´s Congress Party and the Bharatiya Party in his
    resignation speech.
Kejriwal is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharapur. He worked
for the Indian Revenue Service as a Joint Commissioner in the Income Tax
Department. He is well known for his efforts to enact and implement the Right of
Information Act at grassroots level and his role in drafting a proposed Jan Lokpal
    Bill.
It is uncertain what fate awaits the AAP in the future, but it has certainly unnerved India
´s established political parties. Despite performing extraordinarily well in the
recent state elections, the BJP seems to be nervous with the outcome of the Delhi
elections. It sees the AAP as a potential threat to its urban constituency.
For the ruling Congress, the anti-corruption political organization attacks the base
of its politics and threatens to hijack its inclusive and secular agenda.
I am of the opinion there are similarities between the AAP and the Green Party
Germany. The Green Party was launched in the very early beginning of the 80s
because of the tremendous problems West Germany faced at that time. The last 30
years have shown and proved the important role of the Green Party in Germany.
Mr. Kejriwal and his party is able to change the political landscape in India and to
tackle the serious problems India is facing.
His resignation was the right step and the coming general elections in India will
probably change India in the near future.

    Best regards

This Moily is a greedy man who is supporting the corporates to fill his pocket. This same Moilyis taking keen interest on Ettina hole project is not for the benefit of the common people, but only to give business to corporates and in return to fill his own pocket. This is one of the professional corrupt politician of Dakshina Kannada.

Moily is good only for promises, but hw will never do anything as per his promise. we can call him one more Oscar.

People should teach him a lesson by not voting him.

Shame on Oily Moily for being a yes man to the big corporates. The culture of the Congress is such that tomorrow they will wagtails to woo the corporates instead of helping out the common man. We need a tough talking leader like Kejriwal rather than a leader from a political dynasty.

Moily cannot answer why the Government wants to give USD 8.4 for MMBTU of gas to Mukesh Ambani,,, whose production cost is less than USD 1.

CONgress appointed a commission to fix the gas price under Rangarajan with international rates so it could blame it for increasing prices so Ambani will be profited 54,000 crore Rupees every year....

Moily you and your party used Rangarajan as a spoon to eat S#*t....and here you and your party are thoroughly exposed perhaps BJP too for keeping quiet...Dog which did not bark during robbery!!!

No difference between Ranga Commission and Soma Commission appointed by Yeddy to investigate Church attacks....

Both CONgress and BJP think they are smart and can pull wool on common mans eye easily...

Mr.Moily regrets helping Kejriwal because for the simple reason that, Congress thought if they gave support to this guy in Delhi, he will keep quiet..!. He has not kept quiet...instead he kept on coughing Congress scams with the proofs.
They gave gas to Bangla Desh for such a low price and get the balance in black to the congress personal treasury....Most of us may not believe this fact...!

Mr. Moily, the difference between you and Kejriwal is that you are a seasoned Politician, and he a Bureaucrat just into politics. As things stand in a short span he has created an impact and most of us feel that he has made an impact on the minds and hearts of the common people. Rest assured that while most of the so called "Netas' are corrupt and self centered, the congress takes the cake and has institutionalized corruption. Please don't take any credit for the dramatic rise of the AAP leader, he has come up by dint of hard work coupled with intelligence, a product of IIT and an IRS officer obviously means the man has brains. He will go a long way and will change the character of India's political history for the better - give him a chance and you guys please take rest and enjoy the wealth you have amassed. Congress is History, Rahul baba is still a bacchaa.

I know Mr.Moily from the time he was practicing as a lawyer in karkala and was with the late Mr.Sadanand Kamath and then as chief minister of Karnataka.
There is no greater crook than him in congress and I am sure his son would follow in his footsteps,How dare he speak about a genuine person like Arvind Kejrival like this.
Moreover, as far as i Know and as long as there are persons like him,his son,Rahul Gandhi, etc. in the congress than never will the congress come in power now or in the future.
